Gabby and Kyler met while carpooling to a Christmas Party right before winter break in 2017. They were introduced by mutual friends and did not talk much in their first meeting. The first time Gabby saw Kyler, she felt an immediate attraction and refused to speak to him, worried she would embarrass herself.

Once school started back in January, they met again while at a bar with friends. Gabby spotted Kyler from across the room and gained the courage to go up and talk to him. They spent the rest of the night talking, and Kyler ended the night by asking Gabby on a date. They had their first date on January 31, 2018 at Old Venice and became inseparable.

After that first year, Gabby and Kyler maintained their relationship long-distance while Kyler finished his undergraduate degree at Ole Miss and Gabby moved back home.

Kyler moved home to New Orleans in 2020 and started Medical School there in 2021. They traveled back and forth to see each other at least once a month and spent every holiday and family vacation together.

After five-and-a-half years, Kyler (finally!) proposed on a bridge in City Park surrounded by friends.

Gabby and Kyler plan on celebrating their marriage in an intimate Catholic ceremony with close family members in December 2024, followed by a larger ceremony and reception in Oxford, MS in April 2025.
